Types of fire extinguishers
You have both portable and mobile extinguishers – powder, foam, and CO2 extinguishers in our range.
Dewofire sells, as a recognized APRAGAZ company scale I, only European fire extinguishers with the best durability and quality.
The recognized maintenance of the fire extinguishers ensures that the devices have a lifespan of up to 20 years!
Types of fire extinguishers:
ABC powder extinguishers are increasingly being replaced by ABF foam extinguishers because powder extinguishers cause a lot of collateral damage during use.
ABF foam extinguishers are universal BIOLOGICAL foam extinguishers that can extinguish all fire classes (ABFE) – i.e., solids, liquids, fats, and electricity up to 1000 volts.
B CO2 5 kg fire extinguishers are mainly used on low-voltage electrical cabinets and liquid storage tanks.
How many fire extinguishers do I need?
Depending on the number of compartmentations and escape routes, the number of fire extinguishers, emergency lights, evacuation plans, and signage pictograms is calculated. We recommend inviting one of our advisors to map everything out, as customers often place the equipment incorrectly on the escape route. Our advisors perform a risk analysis (RA) of the company to correctly position all equipment on the escape route and reduce all risks.
Here is some basic information regarding the number of fire extinguishers:
-
You need at least 1 fire extinguisher of 1 UNIT per 150 square meters for average fire loads (100 kg of solids or 50 l of flammable liquids).
-
You need at least 2 fire extinguishers of 1 UNIT per 150 square meters for high fire loads (1000 kg of solids or 200 l of liquids).
-
High fire loads are further secured with mobile fire extinguishers and automatic systems.
-
You need at least 1 fire extinguisher per floor, if the room is no larger than 150 m².
