Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the legal relationship between the parties is governed by these general terms and conditions, which are essential to our consent to the agreement. These conditions take precedence over the customer’s own terms. All clauses apply to both existing and new customers of Dewofire.
All information provided by us, including offers, is given for information purposes only and without any commitment. Statements or indications made by us cannot legally bind the company. Agreed terms become final only after written acceptance of the order or quotation. Even then, prices may be revised at the time of delivery if labour or material costs have increased beyond our control.
Even where an explicit agreement exists, we are released from any obligations in cases of force majeure, without compensation to the contracting party.
Complaints are no longer admissible after the 8th calendar day following delivery, completion, or discovery of the issue, provided it was not or could not have been known at the time of delivery. All complaints must be submitted by registered mail to our registered office, including a precise description of the nature, extent and subject of the complaint and all supporting documents, otherwise they will be considered inadmissible.
Our invoices are payable in cash and without discount in Kortrijk on the invoice date. Issuing commercial papers, receipts or accepting bills of exchange does not constitute a novation of debt. Payment is only deemed made upon receipt of the owed amounts in our bank account.
In case of non-payment within 30 days after invoice date, interest of 10% on the outstanding balance becomes due automatically and without notice.
Delivery times are approximate unless expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.
Cancellation of an order constitutes a breach of contract and results in a fixed compensation of 35%, without prejudice to our right to prove higher damages.
This contract is entered into for a period of 3, 5 or 10 years, with the option of annual termination subject to a 2-month notice period before the start of a new maintenance visit, and this must be done by registered letter. Except for Co-ownership Associations, it is possible to enter into annually renewable contracts with Dewofire.
In case of bankruptcy or cessation of activity, the client must notify us in time via info@dewofire.be.
Each year Dewofire will contact the client by phone or email to schedule periodic maintenance. If the client does not respond after 3 attempts (calls or emails) using the contact details provided by the client, the annual amount due will still be payable even if the service is not performed.
If the client is absent at the scheduled appointment, 50% of the service fee will be charged. This amount will not be deducted from the next maintenance service.
Any subsequent technical intervention will only be approved if the previous service invoice has been fully paid.
The maintenance contract includes: yearly inspection of the listed equipment or installations, at a date determined by us. Replacements, refills and renewals are at the customer’s expense after approval of the quotation or mutual agreement.
All services comply with applicable standards. Fire extinguishers, hose reels and emergency lighting undergo full testing according to industry standards and APRAGAZ rules. Fire detection systems undergo 20% detector testing, unless agreed otherwise. The annual rule of replacing 20% of detectors is only carried out upon customer request.
To guarantee proper operation, Dewofire will replace control panel batteries without prior request. Price: €49.00 excl. VAT per battery.
Prices are subject to annual revision based on indexation and/or changes in quantities.
After each maintenance visit, the client will receive a report and/or inventory listing remarks. To ensure durability and compliance with safety requirements, it is strongly recommended to follow the advice/quotations provided.
In case of total or partial non-payment at maturity without valid reason, and after unsuccessful notice, the outstanding balance will be increased by 10%.
All goods and equipment remain our property until full payment. Any deposits paid remain acquired as compensation, without prejudice to the minimum application of Article 4. Pending disputes never entitle the customer to suspend payment.

Travel cost: €0.80 per km unless otherwise specified.
Additional works:
• Fire protection: €59/hour
• Fire detection: €69/hour
Intervention outside annual maintenance:
• Weekdays: €269 excl. VAT, travel + first hour included — second hour €79/hour
• Weekends/holidays: €349 excl. VAT, travel + first hour included — second hour €89/hour
Remote assistance (phone/FaceTime): €50 per 15 minutes.
Dewofire staff must be granted full access during working hours for maintenance or repairs. Failure to provide access will incur a negligence fee of €150 excl. VAT.
A technical intervention concerns only the defect reported. Dewofire bears no responsibility for damage caused by any additional, unreported defects. Any requested repair is carried out under this reservation. Dewofire cannot be held liable for escalation of issues. Interventions must be requested via info@dewofire.be or by calling our office.
The client must maintain fire insurance covering all works performed by Dewofire for damages above €2,500,000. Dewofire assumes that this insurance is in effect before and throughout the works. The client shall provide proof upon request. Dewofire’s liability is limited to €2,500,000. Dewofire cannot be held responsible for malfunctioning after delivery, as proper functioning depends on external factors such as the nature of the client’s activities or whether a risk assessment was prepared.
In case of dispute, only the courts of Kortrijk have jurisdiction. Belgian law applies.
